Since 2023, Mayra Vivacqua has served as Mastercard’s Cluster Lead for the Caribbean, where she focuses on driving the region’s digital transformation. She is committed to ensuring that all Caribbean citizens have access to, and can benefit from, the digital economy.
Mayra joined Mastercard in 2012, bringing more than a decade of experience to the company. Before assuming her current role, she led digital consumer solutions and marketing for Mastercard in Latin America. Her strong emphasis on innovation has made her a key figure in advancing financial inclusion and driving initiatives that empower the region’s economies.
Passionate about advocating for women in the workplace, Mayra serves as the executive sponsor of Mastercard’s Women Leadership Network in Latin America. Additionally, she is a board member of Be Strong International, a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families and communities. Her leadership extends beyond the business sector, highlighting her commitment to social impact and gender equality advocacy.
Prior to her career at Mastercard, Mayra held management roles in Marketing and Retail Banking at Itaú Unibanco in Brazil. This experience significantly shaped her leadership approach and fostered her focus on innovation.
Mayra holds a Master of Business Administration from Duke University. Originally from Brazil, she enjoys exploring the diverse cultures and unique charms of the Caribbean islands. Outside of work, she treasures spending time with family and friends, maintaining a healthy balance between her professional responsibilities and personal life.
