Kwesi “Hypa Hoppa” Hopkinson, affectionately known as Hoppy, is a distinguished entertainment entrepreneur from Trinidad and Tobago. He is the CEO and Founder of SCORCH Limited, a multifaceted media enterprise, and Co-Founder of the regional digital ticketing company, Digital Tickets, which operates Island eTickets.com.

With over two decades in the entertainment industry, Kwesi began by invigorating the sound system culture and transforming Trinidad and Tobago’s fete scene. As a founding member of the influential Radioactive Sound System, he played a pivotal role in shaping the identities of two of the nation’s most popular radio stations, 96.1 WEFM and RED 96.7FM, serving as both a radio host and Program Director. Now, his focus lies in integrating technology and extending the entertainment landscape.

Kwesi’s entrepreneurial spirit is exemplified through the SCORCH brand, which encompasses globally recognized entities such as SCORCH Events, SCORCH Magazine, SCORCH Radio, SCORCH TV, and SCORCH Music Group. His innovative approach has been acknowledged in international publications, highlighting his impact on the Caribbean entertainment landscape.

To further hone his expertise, Kwesi earned a Master of Arts degree in Creative Design/Entrepreneurship from the University of the West Indies.
