Kevin Simmons is a passionate venture capitalist and recognized ‘exceptional leader in VC’ by the UK Government. As General Partner of the $75M Alpha Fund, he drives investments in Africa’s leading fintech innovators, including three of the continent’s eight unicorns such as Flutterwave. With LoftyInc Capital, he has supported over 150 tech startups globally.

Kevin was the founding CFO/COO of Aceleron, driving its expansion to Barbados, and helped Barbadian-founded Innclusive challenge Airbnb’s bias algorithms. As CEO of Electric Miles, he led its successful exit in 2023.

An Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Bristol’s #1-ranked SetSquared Incubator, Kevin also advises and mentors tech startups through Techstars platforms, and Dalhousie University in Canada. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Stanford University, Rice University, and the University of Oxford, he also completed military service at West Point
